Triad foundation gives $500,000 toward Covid-19 relief

(April 22, 2020) – In direct response to needs facing the community as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, Phillips Foundation has approved an additional Generational Grant in the amount of $500,000 to the Greensboro Virus Relief Fund established by the United Way of Greater Greensboro, Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro and the City of Greensboro.

This contribution is outside of the Foundation’s traditional grant-making cycle. The $500,000 includes $250,000 to United Way for immediate relief and $250,000 to a revolving loan fund at CFGG to support recovery efforts in the near and longer term.
